Description

Wall Mounted PIV – Ideal For Cellars, Flats and Apartments

The Wall Mounted PIV (Positive Input Ventilator) draws through fresher air directly from outside of the property, filters it and tempers it before delivering it through a neat and unobtrusive vent grille to provide a regular change of air.

The Wall Mounted PIV (Positive Input Ventilator) is suitable for Flats, Apartments, Houses, Cellars and Basements and other properties that do not have a loft space to install the loft mounted version. The PIV can be installed onto walls, ceilings or in cupboards. It requires some 100mm diameter round rigid PVC ducting, (ideally insulated), from either side of the unit to draw air in from outside and deliver to a central point within the The Wall Mounted PIV (Positive Input Ventilator). An external grille and internal grille is required at each end of the ducting.

This process, supported by extract fans in the Kitchen, Bathroom and Utility room and trickle vents or background vents; provides an excellent, low cost solution to condensation issues.

Ideal for Homeowners, Landlords, Social Housing organisations, Reactive maintenance contractors and trades such as damp proofers, electricians, etc and for properties up to 200m3.

General

  • Positive pressure ventilation provides effective, draught free ventilation and prevents condensation forming
  • Easy to install on wall or ceiling – the PPF4 can be used both in the refurbishment of older properties where condensation is a particular problem as well as in new build.
  • The PPF4 introduces air into the dwelling to create a positive pressure.
  • Fresh air is drawn in from outside, filtered and introduced into the living areas via a single grille.
  • The fresh air circulates throughout the building giving draught-free ventilation and eventually dissipates via natural leakage.
  • Runs continuously to provide a gentle influx of fresh air, maintaining a healthy and comfortable environment.
  • Since the moisture content of the air outside is normally lower than that indoors, the level of humidity is reduced, helping to eliminate the damaging effects of condensation.
  • A PPF4 allows extra security – there is no need to open windows.
  • The noise level is extremely low.
  • Wall or ceiling or mounted.
  • The system is very economical and can cost less than £12 per year to run.
