Damp and condensation problems can be found in buildings of all types. Everyday activities like washing, cooking and bathing increase humidity levels, causing damp and condensation problems which can be hazardous to health.
Modern insulation techniques like double glazing and draught exclusion may improve the thermal efficiency of a building, but allow for little natural ventilation. These conditions lead to damp and condensation problems which can damage the fabric of the building and cause health problems for its occupants.
Damp conditions can be especially serious for people with respiratory problems. Recent research has established a link between asthma and the droppings of the common house dust mite which live in the warm, moist conditions found in properties that are adequately heated, but lack sufficient ventilation.

PERFORMANCE – HOW THE ECLIPSE WORKS
The Eclipse provides a continuous air change in the room by replacing stale moisture-laden air with fresh warmed air. The stale air passes over an aluminium heat exchanger which recovers 80% of the heat which is in turn used to heat the fresh incoming air.
The Eclipse is fully automatic and its operation is controlled be a Humidistat sensor. As humidity levels increase, the Eclipse automatically switches to boost mode to clear the air that could cause damp and condensation problems. Once humidity levels have returned to an acceptable norm, the Eclipse returns to its whisper quiet trickle mode
80% Heat Recovery and low running costs
The Eclipse recovers 80% heat when operating in trickle mode. This make the Eclipse one of the most energy efficient heat recovery ventilators currently available and can make a significant difference to occupant’s fuel bills.
Running costs are as little as 2.5p per day assuming that the majority of the running time is on trickle, perhaps 80-85%. This compares to a high extract rate fan which not only uses more energy and therefore costs more to run, but also removes valuable heat from the room.
The Eclipse is a SELV (Separated Extra Low Voltage) product and complies with current building regulations. As a demonstration of the Eclipse proves, its quiet running ensures that occupants are not disturbed by its operation. The Eclipse is virtually mainenance free and tamper proof. External air filters can be accessed by occupants when occasional cleaning is required.
