Method Statement

1.
Grind out mortar bed on top of arch to 50mm depth.
2.
Wash out grind to clear all dust and debris.
3.
Apply a bead of PAM Resin along the full length of grind.
4.
Insert PAM Restraining Lintel to the back of resin, (see diagram A).
5.
Drill a 10mm hole upwards from the underside of brickwork at an angle, (see diagram B).
6.
Drill full length of brick + 65mm into supporting section of arch..
7.
Insert a PB-10-250 Remedial Wall Tie into hole, (see diagram A), and set in accordance with our Remedial Wall Tie installation requirements.*
8.
Repoint and make good holes.

* REMEDIAL WALL TIE INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

The PB-10-250 Remedial Wall Tie has a unique design concept which creates a tie which provides maximum anchoring strength over a far greater surface area than the traditional 'point loading' anchoring system currently used in other replacement wall ties. Its unique design ensures the fixing sleeve expands along its full radial length to provide an extremely strong uniform fix over the entire surface area of the sleeve anchor giving a substantially improved and more reliable 'fix' than the traditional sleeve which, because of its design limitations, only achieves a 'point loading' fix over a relatively small part of its surface area.
It has a unique sleeve design concept allied to the proven special coated black stainless steel precision limited torque nut combined with the precision modified steel bar provides a fixing system which permits:

a.
Rapid continuous fixing along the full radial length of the fixing sleeves in under ten seconds.

b.
Ensures inner leaf fixes to pre-torqued level before outer leaf engages.
c.
Pre-torque setting reliably produces pull out figures of over 2.5 kilo newtrons.
